Representing SLU at the USA Cycling Collegiate Road Championships May 12-13 in Lawrence, KS was Stephanie Jansing. She placed 15th in the 56-mile road race on Saturday and 19th in the criterium on Sunday. Overall, Stephanie placed 13th in the Women’s Division II national championship standings. At the Midwest Collegiate Cycling Conference’s Regionals competition on April 28-29, SLU finished the season well at the regional criterium in Indianapolis. In the Men’s C race, Matt Favoino finished 8th, while Josh Mueller placed 1st in the Men’s B category. The next season will be another strong one with nearly all of the SLU riders returning to race in 2008.
